Yesterday's hypnosis was all about exercise.  It was another of the recorded sessions she does as I'm in the trance and I found it to be sort of hilarious because she did one that fit me to a "T".

From now on the more I resist exercise, the more I will have the desire to get moving.

Talk about reverse psychology!  I needed this session though.  She especially helped me to have the desire and to make the time for the dancing I've been enjoying so much.  If I try to skip, it will drive me crazy.  :-)  Not literally, but I'll miss it and want to find a way to do it.

I learned that our desire to exercise is a left brain, right brain kind of thing.  The script for the session used the words left and right in a very sing song kind of fashion to get me to spark that part of mind that desires exercise.

That sing song effect is what had me so amused.  I sort of felt like I was being hypnotized by Dr. Seuss.  It made it fun though.  I will be sure to listen to this one again and again because I'm really wanting a flat belly by Christmas.

I have one more hypnosis session of the weight loss management program to go.  It will be made up of affirmations I compose and feel will be beneficial for my continued success.  I've also paid for two extra sessions as part of a package deal that I will use I think for procrastination and self-esteem.

My hypnotherapist asked me if I would be willing to do a testimonial for the hospital's website.  Before I could say yes, she said I would get another free session for doing it.  I was very flattered.  I will have that for her when I go back in two weeks.

This woman is also a RN and the director of the patient outreach program at the hospital.  She likes me and maybe this could lead to other opportunities.  I know she has mentioned me to the people who do the hospital's website because she is "impressed with my creativity".  That's how this testimonial idea came about.  I've put a bug in her ear about my diabetic blog too.

I also asked her about the possibility of me finding a doctor or nurse practitioner there in her hospital's health care network to be my local counterpoint for my every day health care between endocrinologist visits.  She wanted to personally introduce me to a nurse practitioner  who  has a wonderful   personal connection with patients, but he wasn't in.  She says he is who she  sees.  I told her that my family doctor hadn't personally looked at my foot, not even once, since the toe amputation.  She seriously frowned about that.

I don't feel my family doctor "owns" me as patient since I also see the endocrinologist.   I flat out want to see someone I can connect with on a personal level.  I don't with my current family doctor at all.  In fact, I sense she feels a certain amount of guilt about my toe amputation.

So, since I really like the atmosphere at the hospital where I go for the hypnotherapy I'm going to give this nurse practitioner a try in between my visits to the endocrinologist.  I want to feel that my health care provider cares about me as a person.  You can't rubber stamp health care.

Here I have rambled again.  I was going to do a short post, but see what I've done?  :-)

Oh, and by the way, in case you are wondering...

I'm down 17 pounds and a dress size.  It's starting to be noticeable as I am getting more toned.

Thanks for reading.

    Hi CW,

Here you are with more success.  Can't beat that.  How many hypnosis sessions were scheduled in the series?  Did you weigh at each meeting like Weight Watchers?  What do you think made this successful for you?

Surely the hospital would be happy to put a link on their site to SD.  Most sites want this.

I've been meaning to ask if the missing toe affects your balance.  Thanks for sharing with us, your fan club.

CreativeWoman I'm glad I met you, you have a strong possitive attitude towards life , that is exactly what the world's children need. I am very happy you are making progress in acheiving the goals that you seek regarding to good health.

I to recently decided to start exercising a little bit more to help prevent any issues related to failure to exercise at least some. CreativeWoman I am a natural when it comes to fitness. I really don't need to do much, my body seems to stay fit regarless if I exercise or not and I asure you I'm no youngster.

I found a broken 27 inch 10 speed bike about a year ago in an alley (trust me I'm not the junkman) it had a bent front rim that needed to be replaced. I took the bike because I had planed to ride it in the spring or even now. It is a Fuji which was top of the line back in the day. I bought a front replacement rim for $ 3.00 at the flea market.  CreativeWoman I took this bike totally apart during the winter and rebuilt everything on it so I could ride it in the spring.

Spring came I did'nt realize the frame was too small for me even tho it had 27 inch rims. Here I built this bike as good as new and I can't ride it.

Well I remember as a kid walking down my alley on my way to school I passed a stupid looking blue bike with an american flag mounted to the handlebars. The bike looked like it was painted blue ( crappy blue ) (I don't know what crappy blue means but what the hell) with a tooth brush. It was standing on it's kickstand by the trash. I went to school and I thought about that bike all day. I went home from school and it was still there and I took it. I loved the bike my parents did'nt have alot of money and this worked out well for me  .  .  . bananna seat and all.

Well CreativWoman I'm going to put this Fuji bike in an alley somewhere and hope some needy kid gets it. In fact I may keep an eye on it to make sure some kid that really needs a bike gets it.

Keep on keeping on Creative woman, Stay safe happy & healthy.

    wombat,
Thank you.  I've been looking forward to the new me.  :-)  I plan to dance again this morning.  I've missed a few days.

    Jim,
There are eight hypnosis sessions in total for the weight reduction program.  It is just me and the hypnotherapist at each of those.  It's very personalized.  I have a lot of input into what is said to me under hypnosis.

I've thought about asking for them to post my link.  The worse they can say is no.

My balance is ok for the most part.  Walking is ok. I'm a little off when I carry things up the basement steps.  Bending forward to touch my toes is awkward.  I tumble forward a bit.  Sometimes my balance just feels off and I take a half step backwards to correct.  If I have on good shoes, such as my All Terrain Crocs, it's not an issue at all.

    Thanks for being a "fan".

    tbs,
Thank you.  :-)  I feel like I'm getting sexier all the time.  I am amazed at how it works and am loving the results.

    SP,
    Thank you.  It really is.

    CayenneMan,
Thanks for the encouragement.  I think it is great that you are so kind with the bicycle.  Maybe you could tie a red ribbon on it and leave it at the home of a family in need for them to find.

    queen,
Thank you.  :-)  I hope your new job is going well.

    skald,
    Thank you.  :-)

    Ed,
Thank you.  I do credit the hypnosis for a big change in attitude toward myself.  I was really needing that.  :-)

I've already given her a couple of promotional items.  :-)
