"My Tibet travel is harsh. The days of journey are long, the roads are dusty and bumpy. But the travel touches me-it stirs my senses and nourishes my soul. I think about the real "me" again and all over again by the side of the sacred spaces and stunning landscape. This is truly a journey for soul discovery and faith searching. "

–Martha

My friend Martha went to Tibet in a way of "runaway" this summer. Not a suitable time to go at all, I thought. The summer Tibet, very hot in daytime, shift into pretty chilling the moment the sun falls. But she got things so much more than I supposed. Being haunted by the hustle and bustle of the city for so long that she finally got the chance to set free her soul. I could tell she was at ease when she wrote to me. And I am moved by that.

Busy work and stress and pressure…We don't know ourselves any more. We all need "runaway" theses day. Tibet is a good choice-of all the destinations in Asia, the most sacred and sublime. Tibet is also one of my favorite sites for China travel.

It is a world that will take your breath away. Sacred spaces and stunning landscapes-magnificent temples, mountain passes, snow-capped peaks, nomad camps, pilgrims. It is hard to describe the true beauty of Tibet. ONLY to experience Tibet for yourself.

Explore the central Tibet, palaces of Lhasa, the great temples, monasteries and Gyantse, Shigatse & Sakya before traveling west. It seems that we go back in time and history through dramatic landscapes to Tibet’s most sacred pilgrimage sites: Mount Kailash, Lake Manasarovar, Tithapuri. And we are to discover the region that was once the heartland of Tibet, the ancient kingdom of Guge. The three day circumambulation of Mount Kailash is challenging due to the altitude, but within the capabilities of any healthy person. If lucky enough, our trip shall be timed to coincide with the full moon- it will be an incredible scene.

We shall not miss the stunning views of Mt Everest (Qomolangma) and a day trip up to base camp are an exciting finale to this incredible journey before we leave the Tibetan Plateau behind, and plunge into a lush green world as we descend almost 2000 meters in just 30kms to the border town of Zhangmu…

We shall witness the devotion of Buddhist pilgrims, the lively and welcoming monasteries. And we shall observe the intricate patterns of the colorful Tibetan art and the improbability of the ancient architectural wonders clinging to perilous hillsides. That is just Tibet, in its purest form!
