I have an app with the chiropractor at 1 30 this afternoon. She is going to do a 'procedure' on my back, that has to do with releasing vertabrae that have attached themselves or fused to gether.she has told me that it is going to be painful, and that if i change my mind,I should let her know.
It turns out that the titanic headache that I am still recovering from, has been caused by this problem. It is a form of stenosis, whereby, the vertebra that I injured ,in the major fall that i had in May last year, has weakened to the extent that the vertebra above and below are not pushing against it to stop it moving out of place. As a result,it has trapped my spinal cord which is already under pressure, from being attached to the scar tissue at the base of my back.
So what happens is, that it has been pulling on the back of my head,or the base of my skull. This,in turn, has been pressurizing the shunt, which is not busy 'migrating' out of position.
So,I am going to have to go for this 'procedure',whether it is painful or not - if I have to go through another headache like the one that I havd on Monday and Tuesday.
I think that it would probably kill me.
I will keep you folks updated,on whether the procedure actually does work.....but I have been told that she needs to 'break' my back in about 3 different places.for obvious reasons,I have never let anyone 'break' my back before.
....and that just sounds like a whole lot of fun,now doesnt it?
