The kitchen is coming together.  The counter tops are scheduled for Friday arrival.  The hardwood floor should go down in the next two days.  Then I'm taking my break and going to Victoria to enjoy some time with Guy.

Guy is in Montreal at the moment.  We'll meet up Sunday morning at the Vancouver airport.  We'll have lunch with my buddy Jim and then we'll take the ferry to Victoria.  A few minutes ago I heard from my friends M & B in Victoria.  They'll meet us for dinner one evening while we're there.

Guy and I talk daily.  He is struggling with his emotions.  Spending time with his brothers and his mom in Quebec is a good thing for him.  They give him space to be alone when he needs it and at the same time they enjoy his company when he's up for it.

Here are a few pics of the inside of the kitchen cabinets for those who are interested.

Wow....looking good !   I'm jealous of all that extra storage space you got.
And have a good time in Montreal.  Regards and condolences to Guy.  Losing someone
close suddenly is very painful as I well know.

That white is SOOOO clean looking botti!
OMG...can you come and rearrange my cabinets?  PLEASE?  My OCD only works in two cabinets in the kitchen lol!

So nice of you to be available to Guy when he needs a friend.  I'm so glad the two of you met.  You've got such a great heart!  I already knew that though.  Make sure he meets Lobstah, ok?

    Have a nice time!

Bot dear, Your kitchen is looking wonderful and your cabinets are sooooo organized. Really. It looks fabulous and I hope you keep the pictures coming because I am anxious to see it with flooring and countertops. Have a great time with Guy and I hope it unfolds just as you desire.

    Hi Bot,

You've been working since we last saw the kitchen cabinets.  I agree w/Woman on how organized the cabinets look.  I always enjoy that feeling when I have everything neat like you have it here.  You're making nice progress.

    Thanks for sharing.                                     ---Jim---

Ohh...I love the shelves inside the doors and the pull out drawers. They make things so much easier to organize. That's it; I'm moving in!

Darn it, I was so caught up in lusting after the cabinets that I forgot to write the rest of my comment.

I hope you have a good visit in Victoria and with Guy.

Looks like a nice kitchen to me, better than mine anyway. A nice kitchen is fun to work in, don't you think?

Have a good time in Victoria, eh?

Your cupboards look so nice and organized.  Mine look like a bomb went off in them.

I'm glad you're taking some time off of kitchen rehab.  You are probably over due for some R&R.

The makings of some wonderful upcoming holiday gatherings Botty.  You have outstanding organizational skills and darned good taste.  I'm happy for you Bot, and wish you many fond times and memories being had in that very attractive kitchen.

    Best Wishes,

    Jessi.

Love all those shiny pots stacked up on the shelves! (next to the micro in the 2nd photo)  I am a nosy person and squinted to look at all the goodies in the background.....great progress and happy cooking!

Glad your friend is doing as well as he can under the circumstances.

Hope you and all your friends have lots of good times and memory making fun.

RC....I'm a little surprised how good it's looking.  I'm sure Guy appreciates your kind words.  I will pass them on to him.

Daily....I think your OCD rubbed off on me.  I've gone mad organizing.  Sure I'll drop in and do the other cabinets.  No problem.  Thanks, I'll be sure that Guy meets Lobstah.

Woman....My friends are running a pool regarding how long the 'organized' look will remain...........hehehe.  I'm sure Guy and I will have a good time.  It's still very tough for him but he will survive.  Thanks for the wishes.

Jim.....Thanks for looking.  I really enjoy that look too.  I just am not much of an expert at maintaining it.

Zayda....Your room wont be built until next year.  Do you mind sleeping on the sofa till then?   Thanks for the good wishes and the compliments.

Hotman....Thank you.....I'm going to celebrate the kitchen by taking sushi making lessons.

Uni....I'm much superior at the Pearl Harbor look inside cabinets.  It's a habit I'm trying to break.  You putting money on the bomb?....lol.

Jessi.....Thank you, so far my only disappointment is that I didnt find hidden treasure in the walls.  Do pop in for one of the holiday meals....we should be able to whip up something fun in there.

Wombie.....Thanks!  Those 'pots' are canisters with sugar, salt, flour, etc.  I was thinking of you yesterday.  I found a rocker buried in my basement that is going out on the front porch.  I know you'd like it.

Not much cooking involved there other than the rice but good luck. ;)

i'm glad you're continuing to talk with guy, botoni--i'm so glad he has you to turn to at this time.

on a more positive note: the backsplash & counter are gonna look great against that!

Hotaka.....You're right about cooking per se but the skill and the artistry are still in the realm of food preparation.  Leave it to me to come up with cooking that involves no cooking......lol.

Ed....Thanks,  I think its gonna look hot.  Guy is very easy to talk with and listening to him is not a trial in any sense.
