You may have read report after report about yacht brokers, law enforcement, hotels, etc screwing over some nobody in Ohio over what he claims to be a $200,000 yacht. Specifically, this guy has targeted the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, the state's attorney's office, Key West P.D., Key West Code Enforcement, the Florida Yacht Brokers Association, American Marine, Hyatt, Fury, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, Noble House, Key West attorneys, United Yacht Sales, etc, etc, etc.
Well, lets set the record straight here. This man, along with his wife, purchased a dive/snorkeling business. The boat was a 45' Corinthian catamaran boat with outboard motors (not quite a "yacht") . It was called "Sundancer," but was changed to "Reef Cat."
The Krutkos contracted to run the business out of the Ocean Key House in Key West. At the end of the contract, the Krutkos went on a month to month verbal contract with the resort. Robert began short changing the resort and later didn't make payments at all. In addition, he stopped making payments on his house on Cudjoe Key. Why? Well for one, nobody manned the reservations booth for the business, therefore he got no business. Robert tried to run the business from Ohio, but failed. Instead of taking the blame, he claims the hotel stopped referring guests to his business. It never dawned on him that to compete with Fury, Sebago, Sunset, etc, he would need to actually work. His Cudjoe Key house was foreclosed on.
The hotel told him to remove his boat, but he failed to respond. Several months later, and several thousand dollars in arrears with the resort, Krutko had a friend take the boat from the hotel and move it to a shallow bay off Cudjoe Key. He did this without notifying the hotel.
Not long after that, the poorly anchored boat dragged anchor in a windstorm and nearly destroyed someone's dock. The authorities arrived and attempted to find the owner. However, Krutko never registered the boat! He had been illegally running an unregistered boat with paying passengers!!! The last registration was to Paradise Charters of Key Largo, who was out of business. The man whose dock was nearly destroyed recognized the boat from the Ocean Key House, so FWC called them. OKH responded and took the boat back to their hotel. OKH then filed a LIEN on the boat for the $60,000 Robert owed to them in back rent. And who does Robert blame? You guessed it....FWC, even though it was his fault for never registering the boat properly in his name.
Krutko then attempted to file a Theft report with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. After reviewing the case, the S.O. determined it was not theft on behalf of OKH, but a civil matter between the two parties because it was over a contract issue.
Krutko pitched a fit and called the State's Attorney's Office in Key West. The SAO investigators reviewed the matter and came to the same conclusion.....Civil, not Criminal.
The OKH took the matter to Federal Court (07-60001). Robert claimed on several internet blogs that he was suing the hotel, but in fact, it was the other way around. Well, Robert failed to appear, and failed to respond to the suit, so the boat was awarded to the OKH.
Robert then filed a complaint with the Florida DBR. He claimed that the hotel's attorney, Alan Eckstein, was not a licensed broker and made an illegal sale of the boat. Well, Robert lost again. DBR found no wrong doing on the part of the hotel, yacht broker, or attorney. But this didn't stop Robert. He claimed on all his internet blogs that DBR was sending the report to the State's Attorney's Office for prosecution. This was an outright lie.
Since then, Krutko has been on an internet tirade, blaming everyone under the sun for his own failure. That is, everyone but himself. Today, he is a hotel janitor without two pennies to rub together. Yes, it's sad. But it's his own doing.
Krutko has been calling and sending e-mails to various officials giving a hypothetical scenario similar to his own. Similar, but without a few major details...like the LIEN, etc. He's been recording the calls and saving the return e-mails, then posting them on the internet as though they are some sort of factual statement.
On his internet blogs, Robert likes to change his name and reply to his own blogs. He's used names like retiredshrimper, floridaguy, mike hernandez, jose, copchaser, linda ray, takenadvantageof, boat4ever....the list goes on and on. The best examples of him replying to himself can be seen on Topix, ripoffreports, destinsharks, and right here on soulcast.
United Yacht Sales in Stuart, FL has filed a lawsuit against him for internet slander and extortion. Their take on this can be read at www.unitedyachts.us. They have since won a default judgment against Krutko, but it has not stopped his internet libel. This site, for example, is where he thrives the most since he can edit and delete comments from his own blogs.
This is it in a nutshell. Did I mention this stems back to early 2006? I think it is safe to say that if any of the organizations Krutko claims to be agreeing with him actually did agree with him, some sort of legal action would have been taken by now.
One more thing....Robert claims that everyone responding to him in the negative are somehow employed with United Yachts, the police, etc. Well, that's just an example of his paranoia. For example, he'll post in a Miami blog, then accuse the multiple responders with Miami IPs as being either the same person, or employees of whoever he is slandering. He can't quite understand the concept of their being several people having a Miami IP...in a Miami blog!

I think the most pathetic part of all this is how Robert responds to his own posts. Over time, everyone has picked up on how stupid he is. Therefore, his only friends are the voices in his head (he admitted once to hearing voices in his head). On Ripoffreports, he responds to himself under fake names, then signs his own name to the posts. What an idiot! The guy is most likely bi-polar, or some other disorder, and isn't on his meds. -

According to court records, and according to United Yachts, Robert Krutko lost the lawsuit filed against him for libel. After all the tough guy talk about sueing United Yachts, etc, he was too much of a wimp to show up in court. He had his chance and he hid from it. Case closed. -

After a very nice break that Robert took from blogging the internet with slander, he is, unfortunately, back.Now, since he was sued by United Yachts for slander, he has re-focused the blame to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC). At the time FWC was called to respond to his boat dragging anchor, the boat was not registered in Krutko's name. In fact, the 2-year expired registration still returned to the out of business marina in Key Largo. In other words, there was no way of knowing who the owner was. But according to Krutko, it was FWC's fault for not calling him. I guess he expects the cops to be psychic.This very pathetic man just can not come to grips with everything he has done wrong. -

Southern District of Florida, Miami, Federal Case 07-cv-60001, Ocean Key Resort v. Robert Krutko.......The resort filed for possession of the 45' Corinthian dive boat after Krutko fell into arrears of $60,000 for dock rent. Krutko slandered Ocean Key Resort and bragged about the trial, even falsely claiming that he was the plaintiff. Here on Ripoff, he vowed to publish the court's findings. In the end, Krutko never even showed up for the trial. The Federal Court found no wrongdoing on the part of Ocean Key Resort and awarded them the boat. Case Closed. Robert Lost.2. Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations (DBPR), Complaint ID 1047612, Complaint # 2007043289.....Robert filed this complaint alleging that Alan Eckstein, a Key West attorney for Ocean Key Resort, was illegally involved in the auctioning of the boat. DBPR investigated and found no wrongdoing on the part of Eckstein. Case Closed. Robert Lost. Krutko began slandering DBPR.3. Before DBPR concluded its investigation, Krutko claimed that the case was forwarded to the Monroe County State's Attorney's Office for criminal prosecution. Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Report #MCSO06OFF005101.....Krutko used a friend, Andrew Porter, to file a Theft report on Ocean Key Resort, and it's employee Steven Boswell, claiming the resort stole his boat from Cudjoe Bay. MCSO visited the boat at the OKR dock and ran the registration numbers. The boat returned to a marina in Key largo that no longer existed, not Robert Krutko. The hotel made claim of back rent and a mechanics LIEN. MCSO ruled the report as a civil dispute, not Theft. Robert refused to accept MCSO advice and began slandering them. Case Closed. Robert's claim unfounded. Krutko began slandering MCSO and Sheriff Roth5. Following the MCSO report, Robert complained to the State's Attorney's Office in Monroe County. The SAO agreed with MCSO and told Krutko the case was civil, not criminal. Krutko began slandering the SAO and Mark Kohl.6. Monroe County Court, Civil Case CAK060000910, Chase Home Finance v. Robert Krutko......After months of relentless internet slander and harrassment of United Yachts by Krutko, they sued him for slander/libel. Robert hid from the subpoena, even having his father cover for him once. After 2 months, a private investigator found Krutko at his job, a janitor at a Columbus, OH motel. The subpoena was served. After all the internet slander of United Yachts, Krutko had his chance to show cause in court. He didn't. Krutko never even showed up for the hearings. The court ruled a default judgement for United Yachts. Case Closed. Robert Lost.10. There are 5 Franklin County civil cases that Robert lost, including a second home foreclosure. Just this week, it appears he's begun to target innocent members of the Business Guild in Key West, threatening to slander them (and doing it) using Google if they don't force the Business Guild to eject a member that he's having a conflict with. (Conflict? Robert? Tell me it isn't so!) And in checking up on him, I too found where he'd use his own name and address in his post under another user name, while responding to his own posts. He has so many identities he doesn't know who he is at any given moment. -

Robert Krutko is abusing Topix, Ripoffreports, Tripadvisor, and numerous other websites to spread his filth. He is even creating reviews of hotels he's never stayed in just to make them look bad.

I would file a Statement of Claim with the court for defamation/libel/slander. Knowing Robert Krutko's history of being a coward, I can guarantee that he will not show up and the judge will issue a default judgment in your favor. This is bascially what United Yacht Sales in Stuart, FL had to do. -

I always knew he was full of crap just by the garbage he types over and over and over, seemingly with nothing really ever happening to the businesses he claims to be doing so wrong. According to the Key West Citizen, Krutko was found guilty of misdemeanor cyber-stalking, which was upgraded to a felony when he still did not stop. Also, according to the Monroe County Clerk of Courts website, Krutko is currently being sued by Fury and attorney Alan Eckstein.
