A little earlier this week,I did a post about a particular night about 2 years back when me and a lot of my musician friends got together one Saturday evening, and decided to make some music.
We didnt realise that we would be getting it as a 'momento' on a cd 2 days later.i said that I would post a list of the songs that made the 'final cut'......so here it is.If I had a choice there would have been a few others that I would have put on there too,but beggars cant be choosers.Maybe in another post - I will explain few of the calamities and some of the real bloopers that occurred that night.....
Needless to say there were a lot of songs that I wanted to do that I had down with my own band, but most of them were shot down in the flames of a Purple Haze.....
Here is the list

1. Eruption - Van Halen
2. Get a Haircut - George Thoroughgood
3. Cross roads - Cream - -I had wanted to do 'Badge' or 'The white room',but...........
4. Johnny B Good - Chuck Berry
5. Hoochie Coochie Man - Dixon
6. Sultans of swing - Dire Straits
7. Barracuda - Heart
8. Juke Box Hero -Foreigner
9. Tubular Bells - Mike Oldfield
10. Paranoid - Ozzy Osbourne
11. Tears in Heaven - Eric Clapton
12. Hotel California - The Eagles
13. Voodoo Child - Jimi Hendrix
14. Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd - I wanted to do ' Wish you were here',but again.....
15. Whatever you want - Status Quo
16. Sweet Home Alabama - Steve van Zant
17. Rocking in the Free world - Neil Young

So as you can see,the song chioces are in order of how they were played. So we went from one extreme to the other, with a lot of other stuff in between.A lot of it sounded a bit messy to begin with - but it got better as the night wore on.
I wont forget that night for a while....a long while.

What brilliant taste in music you all had!!

I would have chosen 'wish you were here' too, but then again, it would probably make me cry as it often does.  Neil Young is a God so it didn't matter what you chose by him ha ha!

    I WANNA HEAR IT ! ! !

I'm sure it's no surprise that I would have also chosen "Wish You Were Here"
