Styles are at the heart of Civil 3D. They produce the submittal design documentation and their flexibility enables an Office or Company to create a `look' that uniquely identifies them.
In traditional CAD applications, a draftsman wanting to change the look of a profile has to erase and then redraw it. In Civil 3D, you change a profile by assigning a different profile style. This enables you to have a style for developing a vertical solution and quickly change it to a submittal-ready profile by simply modifying it.
There are two basic styles: object and label. Some objects also have a table style. In the Settings tab an object type branch identifies each style type and lists its styles below each heading.
