Its pouring with rain, I guess Im in training now for the big trip on Friday, tropical rainforrest rain will come as a welcome relief from what is falling outside my window as I sit here and type.
This morning I lay in bed sleepy and in that beautiful half awake, half asleep state and was thinking about what I love about this place where I live.

I love the "laid back" speed of the people here, even after 16 years I find it slow, and I know Ive slowed down
I love the east coast evenings, the strange light that fills the sky.
I love walking through the fields of wheat and barley and hearing the sound of the sky lark rising.
I love the sound of the nightingale that lives outside my window in the summer and sings all night.
I love the mist and fog in the autumn.
I love the way my lane floods after the slightest rain and how still the water is and how sharp the reflections.
I love the way people from east anglia add extra vowels when they speak....towan (for town) Moosic(music).
I love how each day the river where i live looks different.
I love how this feels like home.

What do you love about where you live? I need a big long list to keep me going while Im away

i love the fact that there are protected lands all around the neighborhood that i live in.  i can see tree's and grass and lots of little creatures.

i love my house.  yeah, it's too big, but the space has lots of benefits too.
i love the family room and its fireplace and i love the fact that my kitchen can fit everyone and then some.  the kitchen is my favorite room....

i love the flowers and shrubs we put in.

i love the fact that our neigborhood has lots of kids ......and that everyone is not right on top of one another.

i love that the high school is right across the street. that's a big bonus.

i love that my backyard neighbor has bird feeders in his trees.  I get to see the hummingbirds, the oreoles, the cardinals and finshes, and i've even seen bluebirds!!

i love the way the sky looks at night--- like velvet.  And the fact that i can see a million or a billion stars...

i love the quiet.  it's so nice to have quiet.

i love living near all of my family-  i've made lots of sacrifices in my life to keep it this way, but i know staying here was the right choice.
