Institute of Pharmacy, established by Sitapur Shiksha Sansthan (Trust) at Resora, Sitapur has become a pioneer institute amongst Pharmacy collages affiliated to U.P. Technical University, Lucknow to have technical collaboration with M/S Emami Ltd, a leading manufacturer of Ayurvedic drugs and cosmetics and Himani Ayurvedic Science Foundation, Kolkata for development of new Ayurvedic products as well as improvement of their existing products. A tripartite MOU is at final stage of signing by the three parties. In recognition of long experience of research in Ayurveda, Dr. V.K. Lal, the Director of Institute of Pharmacy, has been nominated as a Member of Advisory Board of Emami Ltd. Kolkata. A number of Ayurvedic formulations developed by the Institute are being further developed at R&D division of Emami Ltd. for safety and efficiency studies, which are essential requirements prior to commercialization of the products.

                                   

                                    M/S Britannia Industries Ltd., Banglore, a leading manufacturer of biscuits has also shown interest in the Institute of Pharmacy, Sitapur, for exploring possibility of incorporating natural supplements in the products. Two of its senior officers Mr. P.P. Roy, Head of R&D, and Dr. K.N. Shashikant, Corporate Quality Assurance Manager, Britannia Industries Ltd. are visiting the Institute on August 9,2008 to work out collaborative opportunity. The above efforts made by the Institute of Pharmacy Sitapur in developing collaboration with leading industries, withing one year of is existence is going to help its students is a long way.
