On October 20th, 2006 Raymond Weil Geneve officially launched its first ever performance sports timepiece line call RWSPORT. The event Accutron Watch was held at legendary Mickey Mantle’s Restaurant in New York City. It was a start studded event featuring significant sports personalities such as Dan Patrick, Steve Levy, and Trey Wingo from ESPN.
The even was also attended by sports Legend Ron Darling and NFL great Chuck Muncie
“The Raymond Weil RW Sport line is a new direction for Raymond Weil” Benny Shabtai, the Raymond Weil USA president, told the event attendees and press.
Indeed it is.
I saw this line for the first time at Lussori headquarters last week and it looks nothing like any other Raymond Weil collection. The RWSPORT line is big, bold and hearty. All cases sizes in the RWSPORT collection are a whopping 44 millimeters Hamilton Watches and are accompanies by black rubber straps and quartz movements for durability.
