The page you were looking for no longer exists

This afternoon I wasn't feeling well so I decided to take what I thought would be a short nap about 3:30.  Three hours later, I woke up to a ringing phone.  I couldn't believe how long I had slept.  I also couldn't believe how run down I still felt.

It was probably due to me spending the whole weekend out in 100 degree heat watching a baseball tournament.  You never know though.  It could have been my diabetes having a hiccup too.

I plan to be gone Wednesday for my hypnotherapy and then for some time spent with my nephew, sister and mom.  I was going to cook a meal tonight for the guys tomorrow, but I just didn't have the energy.  I happened to see a Pizza Hut flyer peeking out from the pages of the newspaper.  I decided to take advantage of a two for one special and called in an order.

When I went to pick it up, they brought out four pizzas.  I said that I had only ordered two.  They checked with the guy in the kitchen and he said he had made me four mediums instead of two larges because they ran out of the large crusts.  They still honored my coupon.  I think I probably came out ahead on the deal.

The pizza gods were surely smiling on me.

I used the time I would have spent in the kitchen doing some work on my other blog.  I posted a new low carb recipe there today if that interests you at all.

Have a good one.

Pretty cool, CDub!  Pizza is one of the finer things in life.

I'll go check out the recipe -- I need something to jumpstart my motivation to stick with this low carb stuff.

Hello CreativeWoman once again you hit my special spot, I love pizza. Heck I even like frozen pizza you toss in the oven. But if I had my choice, it would be a thin crust with peporoni and chopped mushrooms and onion with Canadian bacon and ham, thinly sliced red and green peppers a hint of mild sausage all covered in only the finest of tomato sauces imported from italy and finally topped off with only a mixture of the finest three cheeses available.

Now this being made up on a thin crust I may have to eat it on a plate with knife and fork but thats ok with me.

I'm back, I think I was day dreaming, but I sure as hell know what I'm having for dinner tonight .  Thanks CreativeWoman I seem to have gnawed off a couple of my fingers while I was day dreaming so it took me awhile reply to this post  . . .

4 pizzas! Did you invite in the neighbors? I love pizza but almost never eat it. Way too many carbs. That said, I had some at Chucky Cheese yesterday with my daughter and several grandchildren. Sorry to say, it tasted delicious!

    Mimi,
I agree with your thoughts on pizza.  It's one of the foods I miss having as often as I used to.

    queen,
I see that you have visited my other blog.  :-D  Thank you.

    CayenneMan,
Your description of your favorite pizza makes my mouth water.  I hope it was as good as it sounds.

    exibit c,
Just my warped sense of humor at play.  :-)

    quiet,
The pizza was for me to leave in the fridge for the guys the next day for lunch.  I knew I was going to be gone and really didn't feel like cooking at all.  So, they got pizza.

    woman,
I will sometimes have pizza in moderation.  I always have salad with it and maybe a couple of slices of supreme with a thin crust.  My blood sugar is ok with that.

CW, please be careful with pizza hut--another diabetic friend of mine told me that he had particular blood sugar problems with their pizzas, maybe something to do with how much sugar is in their sauce.

    Ed,
I don't eat there often, but thank you for the heads up.  Out of all that pizza, I only had two pieces.  I was mindful of what it could do.  I fortunate that I didn't get a spike.  I had fresh tomatoes and cucumbers with mine.  I'm sure that made the difference.  Fiber from vegetables counteracts the carbs sometimes.

I just didn't want to spend time in the kitchen that night. :-)
