its august already. the summer has gone by fast. it think mainly because we have been stuck inside so much....rain almost every day. does not make for a nice summer. this past weekend was a long weekend. had the boys in for dinner. was great even with the noise and such of everyone here. the grandson did really well and i picked up a couple summer toys for him to play with. kept him busy for a while.  dinner went well and i think we all ate too much as one tends to do when the food is good. 

the people who live behind us decided it would be a great time to cut down a tree and brush....they didnt stop there. they rented a chipper and for 2 days we heard nothing but a chainsaw and chipper. sometimes i really dont like people. then the people next to them decided to cut down a perfectly good tree. i cant believe some people. so now they have NO shade in the back yard. what are these people thinking. after the chipper stopped it was time for all the lawn mowers.....we went to the mall. least i could hear myself think there.

set up the new tent on sat. bought it a week or so ago. first day it was not raining to be able to set it up. its huge. but i know there will be enough room in it to set up the lawn chairs and be comfortable in case it rains. not so hard to set up as i thought it would be. just have to go slow and make sure things are done right. but i like it. we leave for our trip in less than 2 weeks. reservations have been made and confirmed......so now all that is left is to pack.

i started to relist my xmas cards on the 1st. still have a few more to go. but want them all listed before we go. can deal with the orders when i get back.

am still not into eating ....meat in particular. i had a rib for dinner last night and some veg. though i dont miss eating at all , husband gets rather upset when there is no supper cooked.   i would probly just eat toast.  just enough to keep my stomach from feeling upset.
