Man, the hardest person to train seems to always be your CEO. Sales training should be a prerequisite to any CEO who holds the position for a growing company. Get in gear and start learning again. Read everything from Covey to Konrath, and look into blogs like SalesManagement 2.0 and sales training blogs like startup sales mentor blog.

Get out the measuring stick and examine how you are sizing up. Mr. CEO, are you spending as much time sharpening the saw as you are doling out advice? Are you thinking about who you customers are, who your prospects should be, and the people that are bringing them into the fold? Are you building your next offering based on who you have today, or are you forsaking them for future business.

Think hard about the lessons you proffer and take some classes again yourself.
