Part One.  Joanne and 'John' return with madness: to refresh, and entertain. :)
Fourteen years ago... on August 04, 1994: Joanne fled for life and limbs with her 8  yes- EIGHT youngest children (ages 20 months to 11 years/7 girls/1boy) and went through crisis housing in Thunder Bay, Ontario.  She spent all years since, raising her children as a single mom...

John:   How many years has it been now?

Joanne:   "1994...2008= 14.  Fourteen years. 14th Anniversary:
               freedom from "the marriage"... at least in the practical, physical sense.

John:   You mean in, every-day  position... not physically around or in contact
               with.. the ... er- "quotes".. "husband"- -

Joanne: yeah.  I can't afford a real divorce... not yet anyway. :

 We were out for a walk this morning.. catching some of the "cool" air, before
the heat of the day began... it was about 8:00a.m... and the temperature was sitting
at...about 60F (=13C}.. and we were about 1 1/2 miles from the house.. on the
"man-road" (I have not created paths in the 'bush'..)... and - yeah - I realized it was
August, the 3rd of august... and - tomorrow (the 4th) is the anniversary of the day
that we packed 8 little ones, and ourselves/ one guitar, a few crates of books, and
a teddy for each child... into two vehicles and "left the farm" in South Gillies... and
began our adventure...

Fourteen years ago.

and John was pointing out, how - men - many - are 'fishermen'.. and they treat
women the same way they do the fish: being that marriage and relationships
these days are like unto the "catch-and-release" system that is employed in fishing.
Well, at least: if you let the fish go: you do not have to bother with cleaning it and
cooking it... and all that: which is good, because: in former days, most men could
count on their woman to do all that part.... but these days, girls and women are not
nearly so inclined to oblige any man that way: and they were therefore left to do
the work of cleaning, gutting, filleting, cooking, and cleaning the pan after: for
themself.

and anyways: catch and release: yeah: it works for relationships too:

and oh, btw (="by the way") the 15 year old daughter is back from parts east:
she was beat up, and the boy is in custody. .... on to the next chapter, chow.
