when i was growing up one of my favorite toy is the barbie doll...

i would save all my christmas money just to buy a doll...

i dunno what happened to them though i passed them down to my sisters and now they are long gone...

anyway, today me and my little sister is browsing through the internet just looking around. and we stumble upon www.barbiecollector.com

my first impression was holy crap!!! barbie has better clothes than most celebrities or models!!!

most of the clothes she wore on this site are designers clothes...

honestly, to all celebrities out there(especially the ones who look like shit even though they can afford these designer clothes... paris, lindsay, britney) you can learn a lot from barbie...

well, she wore a lot of glamour clothes without looking slutty...

and of course you have to buy it on your size.. lol...

well that's all... i have a boring weekend here...

keep on blogging!!!

When i was young, i didn't have a barbie doll. I had a hand-me-down box full of paper dolls. I loved to play with them. So many different outfits. They were beat up from a lot of use by my 2 older sisters. If those paper dolls could talk....            What an imagination i had when i was young. The thing was, the dollies weren't compared to rich sluts and movie stars. They were your average looking girls and boys.   I am amazed when i see the lengths they've gone with Barbie. I saw a 2 foot tall one the other day with a satin evening gown and it cost over 100 dollars.

    wow

Cool site QueenP!  I had one Barbie growing up and I only had her so she could be the queen of the army men my older brother had.  lol!  I was his shadow.  ;-)

I only ever had one Barbie, too (like fearing).  I had a plastic case with the doll, an evening gown, a bathing suit, shoes, a mink stole, maybe one dress.  I always tried to sew clothes for her--by sewing them "onto" her, then having to rip them off later...  I just remembered that her long blond hair would go into an "updo" held together by a pin with a fake pearl on the end.  At least that's what I had.  I wonder if it came with the doll?  I'm too old to remember, but wow if it did!  A straight pin for a little child to play with!  Ha....  I can't belive the clothes they have now!

fearing: lol the barbie is the queen!!! i bet you had great adventures with her... ;-)

wombat: wow your barbie doll looks more glamorized than mine!!! and yeah barbie gets expensive nowadays... i guess they are making them for adults now than for kids... but if only we could have barbie's wardrobe... oh wow that would be great!!!

Hey Queenie!  I also had one authentic Barbie doll, but before I had her I had a Cindy Doll and also lots of other type dolls.  I also had action men, babies and kiddies, so I could make up families.  My mom made me lots of furniture from ice-cream sticks and wooden pegs.  I had so much fun with all my dolls!  I would do houses for them in old bookcases that I was allowed to use.

Awww, those were the good old days! Thanks for the reminder, Queenie!

    Love Polar x

I had several Barbie dolls when I was growing up--my grandma spoiled me.  My girls, however, don't have that many, and they don't play with the few that they do have.  Around our house it's American Girl dolls and dinosaurs!

Queenie....oh, i hated Barbie when i was a kid...actually I never played that much with dolls in general.....more with the paper kind, anyway....

One day my sister got this Barbie for Xmas...well..i don't know what came to me..I chopped he head, cut her hair and broke her dress...

I hid her under the wardrobe and pretended i didn't know anything about it while my poor little sister ( i was maybe 8 , she was 6) was looking for her doll all over the place, crying..

Yes, i know....I have been a very mean sister...:-(

Karma played rough with me...even though my daughter never actually liked Barbie everybody kept giving her a Barbie at any b-day and Xmas...she ended up wit at leaat 15 of them!!!......Arghhhhh
