I have been looking on Craigslist and ebay for a used trampoline. Olia loves trampolines.  One of Dan's friends has a huge trampoline and Dan occasionally takes Olia and Dasha over there to play on it.  I just want a small trampoline. I responed to a few posts, but the trampolines had been taken by others or were too expensive.  I found one the other day and we are going to go look at it today.  It is about an hour away so I think I am paying double with the cost of gas!! We will have to disassemble it to bring it home.  That will probably take awhile.  Olia is really excited to go visit her friend Olya in NY.  I think the trip will take us about five hours.  Dasha is going to stay with the family who wants to host her over Christmas.  They are fairly certain that they want to adopt her. I wish we could tell Dasha about that but, it is forbidden by the hosting organization.  It is also hard to make any promises where a Ukraine adoption is part of a promise because everything in Ukraine adoption is usually in a state of flux. The SDA has closed down for months over the last few years. Ukraine does not allow preselection of children.  If a family has hosted a child or met a child through hosting they can request a referral for that child, especially when they have spent time with the child. It is almost always honored, especially with an older child.  Unfortunately, there is not a demand for older children in Ukraine. Most adoptive parents are looking for infants or very young children.

  We spent part of the morning cleaning; our Sat. ritual.  Dasha actually loves to clean; she especially likes using her own bottle of Windex.  Then the girls swam because it looks like it will rain later in the day.  Now they are justr lounging around watching TV and playing video games. Dasha is a video game junkie!  We only have a Play Station I so we are behind the times with video games!
