Friends of mine have this big BBQ every year and i usually cook.....about 150 to 200 people......this years theme is Mardi Gras .....they asked if I could make a "king" cake.....I said sure....what's a king cake?.......I was given a recipe book that had the recipe in it.....I followed it to the letter........this thing is a glorified cinnamon roll with green, yellow, and purple frosting and sugar all over it.....kinda ugly if you ask me.....my buddy dubbed it a "vagina cake" before it was frosted......can't wait to hear what he calls it tomorrow......well...it smells good anyway.....i'm sure it will taste good too.....but damn that is one ugly cake!

D6fer as they say looks can be deceiving I'm sure everything will go well. I'm pretty sure I saw this cake being made one time on tv before it was frosted . . . ok.....I googled it and found one identical to the one I made.....there were many versions, but I followed the recipe to the letter and this is what I came up with. -

the recipe made two of them....I would say they were about 1 foot lengthwise, and I think I got about 30 slices out of each. -
