Good morning,

So here I am, another day in the life of Raz, and I'm sitting here in my desk at work and the world is changing. (Mind you the world is always changing but in this case we're talking about changes that impact my monkeysphere rather directly TYVM.) In this case the changes are at my work. We just deployed a new tool and did a reorg in which I got a theoretical "promotion". I say theoretical because in the new structure I'm the "lead" for the group that now handles the lowest of low end work in our environment. In particular this means that all of the interesting work has gone away and is handled by other groups which leaves me with a great big bag of boredom. Terminal boredom of a soul crushing variety.

So I'm thinking it's time to move on to something more challenging. I work in IT and I live in the land of IT goodness. I've seen positions out there that I fit, and fit my desired lifestyle, so job pool here I come again!

joy. I am overflowing with it. No. Really.

Change can be good. If and when I choose the change. Unexpected changes forced upon me or otherwise beyond my control are almost never good though... I have fundamentalist friends that believe in karma because of me. ;)

[trout-smacks the n00b] :> hey, you and i know of one fundamentalist who's changed beliefs and you were a part of that process, IIRC. :> ed

You know I am thinking about you and I know whatever changes come about will be positive - karma or not, the wheel turns and will balance back out. ;-P

Indeed I was. That's sort of different though. Screaming and yelling for someone to look at the water I just dragged them up to is different from others seeing the number of "transmission failures" in my life and wondering, literally, which Nazi I was in my last spin around on the wheel. :p There are some days where I wonder the same and then there are some days where I just enjoy the sunset. It depends.

I got a "theoretical" promotion at work recently. I have a new title, with more responsibility. Do you think that additional responsibility comes with additional pay? Hell no. FWIW, I instantly like someone who describes themselves as snarky. :)

gee, i can't begin to imagine why that is, super z... :D ed

gee, silver.....:D Snarky is so underated...and well, I appreciate people who do snarky well. [pokes silver with a spork]

Snark is an art form. And I feel your pain on the no pay raise thing. REally I do. ;)
