I don't blame you Batman. Family just doesn't get it when you kinda hint you don't want to do something. Nor do they get it when you flat out refuse. His sister wanted 200,000$ to supposidly "borrow". My parents want me to co-sign for a carloan they don't need when my credit is already in the crapper. I think it's in the 500's somewhere. Which I still don't understand how they can secure a loan if my credit is just as bad as theirs.
Mom has car sitting somewhere. Company called to give her the paperwork on it after all these months. She still owes them though. Wants me to co-sign for dad to still get the car that would be in her name and still come out of her check while she has to find a way to pay for this other car. Now dad has terrible history of burning 3 previous family members in refence to the purchase of cars. My Brother and both of his very own sisters. I have 3 kids and I'm in the process of trying to build my credit so that I could purchase a co-op or condo.
The last thing I need right now is for someone to default on a loan. I told my mother NO and she said don't do that to your father. But I feel as if she's trying to guilt me into it. Last time I checked I was the child and I was under no obligation to the adults that raised me. Only obligated to the children that I birthed.
Now I know sorta what Christian Bale felt like when his mum and sis showed up hat in hand begging for $200,000 dollars. He probably felt like these 2 have some NERVE! I think my dad should have spent more time building his credit than venturing into other things and he'd be able to get his own vehicle.
