Poll: Prosecute Bush before Bashir | Press TV

A new poll finds that an international arrest warrant should be issued for US President George W. Bush before Sudan's Omar al-Bashir.
Last week, the International Criminal Court (ICC) accused al-Bashir of masterminding a genocidal campaign in Darfur and issued a warrant for his arrest.
Over 62 percent of some 2382 respondents to an online Press TV poll believe that while the court has the authority to prosecute a head of state, the ICC should first hear the case of Bush's crimes in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Some 14 percent said the ICC move is aimed at seceding Darfur from Sudan, and 12 percent criticized the decision claiming that the court is acting outside its authority.
Only 11 percent believe the decision to arrest al-Bashir, ahead of the country's first free elections in 23 years, aims at establishing peace in Darfur.
