  Nah I gotta say who ever does the inviting is paying unless otherwise specified (or if tradition demands) even between same sex.  If I invite you out for drinks I'm driving and I'm paying, its simple courtesy unless specified.  Just like if you're at my house during dinner you get fed.

  however, if i asked anyone out, personally, i'd offer to pay, and be prepared to do so.
