today we had our job orientation... i'm gonna start on monday, doing the nightshift.

it was okay... . kinda boring and i was sleepy..lol... =)

we tour the office and the facilities, and honestly i love the place! it looks like a fun place to work in.

i made some new friends. although i was a little awkward. most of them smokes during breaktime.. and well you know i'm quitting smoking...

anyway, i was really lucky to have the job... everyday they had hundreds of applicants and only a few of us got in... very lucky right!?!?
and i know people here are wondering what the job is... okay i'm gonna say it... since i can't blog i the office anyway...

i'm gonna be a technical support representative...

yeah i know call centers are booming here in the philippines... i might as join them for tuition money... but it got me thinking can i make a career out of this?

but after i went home i still wanna have my own business... be my own boss and be a pastry chef...

funny because i'm not really a techie kind of person but i got the job... is it because of my charms!?!?!? lol... ;-)

anyway there would be like a three months of training for it...

and the customers are from america!!!

so guys please be nice!!!! lol!!!

and dont worry i'm still gonna blog in here eventhough i can't blog at work...

so how's your saturday?

keep on blogging!!!

Enjoy your new job and sounds good that you are thinking "tuition money."  You are looking ahead and not staying stagnant in your path of dreams.....you are doing great!  Best of luck, and don't let them influence you to join the smoking sessions!  You have done too well on that!

sis, call center work can be emotionally exhausting--i have friends who've done it. try to make friends with some of your coworkers, that might help alleviate the stress.

now i'm anxious to see how day 1 went!

it's really good that you want to be your own boss. thats what I want to do too. im having trouble at my job myself and i hope to be self-employed in the future.

In that kind of a job your people skills are just as important...even more so...than your technical skills.  Your personality got the job for you and the rest they'll train you for it.
Even though it would help, a degree in whatever is not really necessary if the company is willing to train you within the parameters that they want you to work with.
