In those days when  the number of vehicles and factories were chicken -feed societies took little interest in the oil prices . THE OIL PRICES PER LITER THEN WERE MERELY THE PRICE OF A  CUP OF COFFEE. Members of societies used bicycles to go about . Bicycles were items of importance. If the prices of bicycles were increased then the hike was of concern  to the riders. The riders believed more in the leg -power rather than the oil -power.

Recently some quarters  suggested  that the population  return to bicycle -power and kick out the oil-power. Bicycle -manufacturers should start churning out bicycles now in great number.

Sell the bikes cheap at rock price. Export as many bicycles to the world  so that all over the world bicycles would be  the King..
