  Hmmm tough one. I would like to say the unselfish thing of course and say "of course I would  give up my gift".....but I probably would not. I would probably chose another gift for my mum and treat myself. After all, I will have saved for the holiday and earned the break and a treat, and mum would not know about the vase that she WAS going to get, and I am sure I could find her a gift she will like which would not cost as much as the vase. Perhaps a necklace similar to daughters so they both have the same.
   
  Sorry! I don't treat myself to much. The ornament wins!

  i'll buy three of the ornament that i like... i'll give it to my mother and daughter and for me... i'm sure they like it... i have good taste after all... =)

  I'd buy the gift for daughter and mom, but get the clerk to either set aside the ornament with my name on it, or to give me the name of the artist/manufacturer so that I can order it from home.
   
  I am on holiday, so I'm already indulging myself.  I know how fun it is to get something wonderful from a family member, so I wouldn't want to let my daughter or mother down.

  I would put family ahead of my own wants. I would  get the gifts or them.If they did that for you...you would think they are awesome! It's all about LOVE!....real,deep down true love.It comes from deep within your heart, even if you are the onlyone who knows the choice you had to make!
