I just saw, on a Yahoo link, ...
Less than four months before the November 4 presidential election,
Democrat Obama held a lead of six to eight points among registered
voters in the three surveys -- 50-42 percent in the Washington
Post/ABC News poll, 44-37 percent in the Quinnipiac poll; and 45-39
percent in the CBS/New York Times results.
The polls showed Obama's lead over his Republican rival anchored on
a firm support base of women voters, young people and the African-
American community.
Ha ha ha. Has anyone polled you, officially? No one has ever polled me.
Who are these people that answer polls?
I know someone polled me in the mall one Friday night, many years ago.
My wife and I were just wandering aimlessly around the mall so I actually
stopped and listened to the poller's question, something I do not usually
do. We were led into some offices nearby and into a room where they
asked us more questions about some kind of canned mixed drink. I thought
they already had those. They kept trying to lead me to say what they
wanted to hear--that I would buy such a drink. But I kept telling them
that I would not buy such a drink because I no longer drink drinks that
contain alcohol. They turned kind of blue in the face after I finally told
them that. I dare say my opinion was not registered. My answer was not
what their client would want to hear.
I figure the presidental polls are pretty much that way as well. Especially
if some outfit like CBS, NBC, or ABC has anything to do with it. I really do
not understand the rational behind polling anyway. And I, for the life of me,
cannot understand why anyone would pay any attention to them. I figure
only the morons that are likely to vote for Borax would listen to them because,
when CBS, CNN, NBC/CNBC/MSNBC, or ABC or doing the polling, you can bet
your ass Boraxians are going to hear what they want to hear.
If I hear a poll that says McLame and Oblahma are about even money, that I
might believe. But truly, the only poll that really matters is the one that takes
place next November. The poll in which every registered voter gets to take
part--the presidential election. However, I am even having my doubts about
how accurate that count is. I guess that is why the founding fathers wisely
set up the electoral college. Can you imagine trying to figure out who won
the popular vote, and if it came down to one vote? Plus, the way we do things
now, the right guy is probably going to become president no matter how the
vote goes. Just think, we could have had eight years of Al Gwhore. OMG.
These polls are a waste of time, money, and effort and if you pay one iota of
attention to them, you are an imbecile and a moron. I bet I could go out and
poll for McLame, Borax, and Pat Paulson, and Paulson would make a pretty good
showing if I stated the question in just the right way.
The polls are meant to sway the undecided voters, those of us that vote for
substance and not just for a party member dressed up in a suit. There are the
mindless, like women voters, young people, and the African-American community,
who will vote for Oblahma no matter what ... because the polls say they should.
[That is a joke for the humor impaired.]
I know several women, at least one young person (who will be voting in their first
presidental election), and at least a few blacks who will be voting for someone
other than Oblahma.
I wish I had a better conservative candidate to offer you than McLame, but he
is leaps and bounds more capable, experienced, and a lover of American than his
socialist/communist Muslim-loving counterpart. Plus, I think Mc will listen to reason
and, in the end, do the right thing for American and Americans.
I wish I could say that about Oblahma, and his hate-filled wife, but I fear all this
sudden attention and popularity have gone to his head. He actually thinks of
himself as a messiah, which will most like be his downfall. He is already blurting
out stupid crap that he has to eat for days because he is so full of himself and
already thinks that he can do no wrong.
I guess, if he happens to get elected, it will be fun to watch as that messiahship
is stripped away by the same morons that voted him into office when they
realize what a bunch of crap he has been spreading. Of course, depending on
how much damage he does, it may not be all that funny.
Anyway, I would like to see who they poll ... ah, who cares. It is all crap. You
know it is.
