Jack Reed of R.I. a democrat and 2nd term Senator. Yes he has a strong naval and supposedly a strong foreign affairs background. Next batter up is a little weirder in choice and sure to draw Dem's fire: 2nd term Sen.Chuck Hagen from Oklahoma(Republican)? Also has military background with the foreign affairs background. Other than that they are both on the housing urban affairs commitee and both to Senator Obama's liking no doubt to complement what Mr.McCain calls Obama's weaknesses for holding Presidential Office.

I attempted to look up things they've voted for and on and got blank from my source. So people I leave it to you to investigate the gentlemen that could possibly be our next Vice President. The men that should Mr.Obama win and for some reason couldn't complete his term would take care of our country and lead it. Please feel free to report back on anything you find as curiousity is one of my guilty pleasures and I am so curious to see what you guys find.

Wow, interesting...gotta check out CNN on this one.  I'm assuming you're an Obama supporter over McCain?

Yes Obama's my man. I'm tired of the usual Washington Political BullS*#@. I think we need new blood and why not a freshman sitting Senator who is too green to have been touched by all the usual political crap. I actually liked McCain a bit but when he started towing the line with Bush on some of his policys... when he was so vehemetly toe to toe arguing against them before he turned me off.

He will be more of the same and he will attempt to scare us all into electing him as Bush did to all of us the second time he ran. And the fix is in,He will attempt to make Iraq his issue causing us to re-elect him to a 2nd term. The republicans found a niche with that crap. Now it is up to all of us to let them know we see it too and it is not a niche we will fall for.

I'm not sure that him being fresh means he's untouched by DC (whatever that means) it could just as easily mean that he's no where near through paying his dues and not ingrained enough to turn on his masters without being destroyed.

I agree with McCain being Bush III though.

I went to the official website of Hagen and linked to the library of congress and bills and resolutions that he's co-sponsored and got lost in the maze of 300+ links that came up.

Well their going on that trip with him and it's been said that both men are on his short list. And besides why would both men be accompanying him on such an important diplomatic trip if they aren't going to play some role in his cabinet should he become our next President? He also toted the fact that both men had these excellent Foreign Affairs backgrounds. What was that all about? From what I hear the republican might serve as Sec of state. And the Dem might be our vice. But I hear their both on his short list as Vice contenders.

Some misguided souls think all you have to do is put someone in charge that is totally different from the last president. That's change.

They dont see the danger of that kind of thinking.

Well is school yard, 6 year old logic of if so and so wants you to do a, then obviously z is what you should do.  In this case I'm not sure they are wrong.
