Remember that silly game?
When I drive to work on the same road every day, I do this:
I look up in my rearview mirror and see the mountains, if they are not covered in fog.
I look down, and see the same spot of pavement covered over with tar from a pot hole. When I cross it, I swerve to hit it, just for luck.
When I get to work, I park and look up at the sky. Take in the umbrellla or not? Leave the windows up or not?
When I get to my work area, I do the best I can. When I feel I can't even do that, I look up.
Sometimes I see the mountains, and sometimes I see the pot hole, but I keep going.
That's all we can do.
