Cool!  I often marvel at at how as technology progresses, things get smaller and smaller, and more efficient!  "Mobile phone" used to mean a big chunky piece of equipment in your car that very few people had.  I like this photo!  Lots of good ideas could come from this, showing the progression of other things.

When I was little we got our first phone, and it was a "party line."  We would pick it up to call, and could hear the neighbors talking to each other...."Hey!  Hang up!  This is a private conversation!"  Or else, just get in on the conversation.  We had funny numbers, too.  PLA-2335 for example.  Stood for "Plaza-2335."

In the country here there would be a party line. the whole county was listening in and it was fun. When I was working in a shop, I was 20 there was a party line to the shops owner home and his other shop., I was 11 when we got a phone.

I am still wondering how the heck they actually work!  I mean, isn't it wild that I could call you and hear your voice in Iceland?

Yes it is like my gamps used to say you don't understand electricity but  you can use it . It is same about those things. It is wonderful.

Someday people will be calling the space station, sending pics, and it will be on their tv and computer screens!   Well, if things go as they are going now!

I can't wait until they have the "beam me up scotty" travel~  LOL  Or a car that hovers and drives itself where ever if you just put your destination in~

I saw something about this a few months ago, but can't remember it all.  Something about an experimental train "taxi car" in Chicago maybe...You get in and tell it where you want to go.  Or am I dreaming again?  It didn't hover, but close!  I would love to be able to be beamed up and outta here sometimes....

Wombie.  Sure that  time will come. All that we have seen in movies before comes true.
Quiet.  Beam  me up. that sounds great. also car that  hovers and drives it self. thus will all come one day.
Fearing.  Yes, that is a good idea.
