I guess I'd make a pretty sad wife for some guy in the 1930s.  Hmmmm, come to think of it, I don't really care!!

U-I, I got the same result as you! LOL!  And I actually had a lot of good points, but it seems my bad points outweighed my good points.

Infernal, we all bow to you, oh Mistress! LOL! :-)
  • uniquely-ironic said on Jul 10, 2008....

Eilan - well, you're twice as good as me!

quietone - yeah, I wasn't really surprised either.

queenie - I'm not surprised, you'd make a fine wife no matter the decade.

    TIO - another superior wife!!

polar - I think in my case what few good points I have were quickly wiped out by my bad habits ;)

daily - you and Mimi would have had fun together as single gals.

    Lucy - amen sister!

D6fer - I think a lot of men think that and maybe it's true.

    travlr - I don't know, I could use a househusband some times. ;)

skald - I think you're a superior wife now, so I'm not terribly surprised.

Not really...and i thought i was a feminist!!!  But the questions were so stupid!  Do u squeeze toothpast from the top? c'mon now....But the questions were in form of a person already married...i had to guess at how id be if i was married, so none of it is true...ill take the quiz again after im married : > lol
  • uniquely-ironic said on Jul 11, 2008....
star - take it after you've been married a couple of years and I suspect you'll slip a little.  Nothing like living with men will activate your "do it yourself!" powers. ;)
  • soaringraven said on Jul 11, 2008....
I got a 153 but I suppose this, as with most other quizes, is subject to serious doubts.  Considering that they are put together for the purpose of entertainment.

  • husbandhater said on Jul 11, 2008....

I don't need a test to tell me what I already know. I'd make a horrible 1930's house wife. Let's just take a stroll down memory lane shall we. 1930's.....That whole do what your husband' tells you bit I'd have a problem with. And let's forget about my marital situation which would be a NON existent issue in that time period due to RACE alone. I hate my husband telling me if it's going to rain much less anything on what to do. I make more money than him at one of my jobs and the other one I'm taking on. That'd be a big problem there.

Then there's that womens right issue(They were just getting some in that particular time period). That whole domesticated thing wouldn't work for me either. Can I cook? Yes,but do I want to is the bigger Question? And all the time? Hey I'm no Martha or Susie Homemaker. Not my bag baby. I'd probably be considered the worst mother for feeding my kids frozen meals,1/2 already cooked meals like mash that comes already prepared in the bowl. Frozen fried chicken that you heat up in the oven, and heating up the frozen veggies.

Wait they didn't have that stuff in that time period so I would have had to cook.........Forget my babeling 1930's wouldn't have been for me. haha.

I scored as average with 47.
  • uniquely-ironic said on Jul 11, 2008....
HH - I think people remember those times differently than they actually were.  No one wanted to cook from scratch, raise gardens, etc. but the economy and times dictated it.

    Alyss - very good!!
  • Zaraida said on Jul 11, 2008....
Being a wife is too much trouble in any era.  Can't understand why some women get married over and over again.  What's that old saying? - "Why buy the bull when you can get his "bxxxs" for free!"
  • uniquely-ironic said on Jul 11, 2008....
Zaraida - well, I've never heard that before, but now that I have .........
  • Zaraida said on Jul 11, 2008....
Ha!  I kind of made that up years ago because I hated the old saying about women - you know, the one about "Why buy the cow, etc."  I always thought that was so demeaning.  It insinuated that all women are just dying to marry a man, no matter what kind of jerk he is.
  • uniquely-ironic said on Jul 11, 2008....
Zaraida - LOL well, I like your saying.  I hate the other one as well.  If I need someone to take my "milk" I'm sure there won't be a problem finding someone to do the milking. ;)
  • Zaraida said on Jul 11, 2008....
That's for sure.  More women need to tell men that they're not made of gold!  Although it would probably go right over their heads as men (most) do think they're irreplaceable.  Geez, I'm sounding really bitter here - but I guess I am and not ashamed of it.  I've been trying to tell my boyfriend for years that the world doesn't revolve around him - but that doesn't help.  He still thinks it does!
  • SeanRenaud said on Jul 11, 2008....
Because it does, the world does in fact revolve around him.
  • Zaraida said on Jul 11, 2008....
    Good one, SR!
  • SeanRenaud said on Jul 11, 2008....
It's true, just like your life should revolve around you.  You should be the single most important person in your life hands down.  Not your hubby, no your mother, not even your kids (though they should run a very close second).  If you're not happy you're not going to make those around you happy, and just being happy you're going to effect those around you.  People, particularly mood wise are just infectious beasties.
  • Zaraida said on Jul 11, 2008....
I agree with you completely.  We women need to learn to love ourselves (do I sound like Oprah?).  No, really, everything you said is absolutely true.
