Although I find the exterior styling more boxy than the more appealing swoopiness of c. 2002, this is a superior vehicle in most every way. Rounder headlamps flank BMW's signature kidney grille treatment, and the controversial "Bangle-butt" rear of the previous car is now a more traditional design that highlights the sedan's wide stance.
An Exige is no place for the large or ungainly. Six-footers will (barely) fit, but they'd best be trim and limber. A wide door sill, low roof, and floor-height seat make entry extremely awkward at best, and if getting in was tough, getting out may require surgical removal. The Exige's Elise sibling is better in this regard, as the top can be readily removed, which significantly eases entry and exit. The narrow, thinly padded seat is designed more for holding the driver in place during fast race-track turns than cushioning their body over bumps, and it shows. The cockpit is extremely narrow, so even trim adults sit shoulder-to-shoulder. Visibility is fine to the front and sides, but non-existent to the rear corners or straight back, as the wide rear pillars and the engine's roof-mounted air scoop conspire to leave not even a small portal of vision; the car comes with an inside rearview mirror, but it's utterly useless. This, too, is better in the Elise, which lacks the roof-mounted air scoop and thus offers at least some view straight back. Since difficult ingress and egress and lack of rear visibility are the primary deterrents to enjoying the Exige as a relatively thrifty and wildly entertaining daily driver, its Elise stablemate makes far more sense for most people.

According to Lamborghini, the Superleggera's grab 'n go combination of all-wheel drive and 522 hp nets a 0-60-mph time of about 3.8 seconds--and that's believable. Our test Superleggera had the automated manual transmission, which makes that figure easily attainable as you simply floor the gas pedal and hang on. There was just a bit of a delay when mashing the throttle from a stop before the system engaged the automatic clutch. But from then on, acceleration was explosive, with crisp upshifts whether letting the transmission shift itself or shifting manually with the steering-wheel paddles. Downshifts were also executed quickly and smoothly, whether done automatically or manually.
I think it sort of resembles a lexus which is bad because it is a bmw however that being said lexus cars are attractive in a conservative sort of way. i dont like the front but the rear looks nice. im not sure if i would buy the 750il over a ls600h or a Mercedes s600. i think those are more attractive cars with the lexus winning my vote because of it reliability and its stunning interior...which by the way is where you will spend most of your time.

What it is 2009 Suzuki Equator � 2008 Chicago Auto Show: It should come as no surprise that people who like motorized toys own trucks. After all, it�s a little difficult to haul your dirt bike on the roof of a Camry, and the Chevrolet Malibu, for all its improvements, it just can�t tow very much weight. Suzuki, as a major player in the toy department, is aiming a rebadged version of the Nissan Frontier at its bike and boat buyers. Funny thing is, with a better warranty and a restyled front end, they just may have improved Nissan�s mid-sized pickup. Debuted at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show as three concepts -- the Suzuki Equator Quad, Quay and RMZ-4 -- the Equator will go on sale this fall.

The badge says Pontiac, but almost everything else says Toyota. Our navy blue Vibe looked stylish and attractive from a distance, but the closer I got the less enthused I was, especially with the rear. The Altezza taillights don�t work for me, it says wagon more than a crossover, and the wheels look too small on the car. Some 18-inchers would dramatically improve the look and upgrade the handling from decent to very good. On the inside, the dash, vents and controls resemble the latest Scions, and the rear seats were too upright for comfort. However, there�s decent room in the trunk for storage, especially when the rear seats are folded down. On the road the Vibe felt lively enough for a vehicle with about 160 horsepower. After the looting from Daimler Chrysler is doing the right thing by setting up mergers with other companies. Although I find the exterior styling more boxy than the more appealing swoopiness of c. 2002, this is a superior vehicle in most every way. I'm impressed by the obvious evolution of features, refinement, and functionality.
Gallardo has few equals in terms of performance and even fewer superiors, with its main claim to fame being an all-wheel-drive system that gives it a confidence-inspiring edge, particularly on slick surfaces. It also makes the Gallardo a more practical "everyday" car, or at least one that can be enjoyed more often.

HOWARD WILNER include a top-line S model => The XF is slightly larger in just about every exterior dimension than the Audi A6, which was previously the largest car in this class. Its underlying structural design is driven by safety considerations, and particularly by the goal of protecting against side impacts and the tendency of tall, sport-utility type vehicles to slide upward in collisions with sedans. Jaguar has applied a host of high-tech metals, including high-carbon steels, dual-phase steel, hot-formed boron and bake-hardened steels, to create a vertical safety ring around the XF's occupant cell. The company claims that the XF will deliver the best crash protection in the class with a body/frame package that is lighter than that of its competitors.

With updated styling, lightweight construction, a new twin-turbo V-8, and tons of new safety, technology, and luxury features, BMW's latest flagship represents another significant -- though less divisive -- leap ahead.

The 2009 Maserati GranTurismo lineup expands to include a top-line S model. This four-passenger coupe shares much of its basic design with Maserati's Quattroporte sedan. The standard powertrain is a 405-hp 4.2-liter V8 and 6-speed automatic transmission with steering-column-mounted shift paddles. New for 2009 is an S model with a 440-hp 4.7-liter V8 shared with the Alfa Romeo 8C. Unlike most front-engine cars, the GranTurismo has a rear weight bias, which Maserati says improves handling. Standard safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front side airbags, and front curtain airbags. Standard on all models are dual-zone climate control, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, and a rear obstacle detection system. Also standard are a navigation system, 10-way adjustable front seats with memory that power forward to ease entry to the rear seats and a power tilt and telescopic steering column that raises and lowers for easier ingress. This evaluation is based on preview test drives.
The 2008 Subaru Impreza is redesigned with an all-new look and is available in a 4-door sedan or a 5-door. Equipped with an all-new double wishbone rear suspension and chassis the Impreza also has a lower overall weight and a longer wheelbase. Interior room has been increased for more rear-seat legroom and front shoulder room. The framed windows allow for better body rigidity and a quieter interior. Powering the Impreza is a 2.5-liter 170-horsepower engine and a 2.5-liter 224-horsepower turbocharged engine for the WRX. Both engines have been modified for improved emissions and are tuned for improved low-rpm acceleration. Standard safety equipment includes side-curtain airbags, Subaru Advanced Frontal Airbag System (SRS) with front seat head / chest side impact airbags (SRS) and a driver�s side front airbag.

It is no secret gas prices are up and putting a big pinch on our pocket books. Car maintenance and driving habits significantly affect fuel economy. Here are a few tips to help you get the most for your buck. First, check the air pressure in your car's tires. Most vehicle tire pressure recommendations are located on a sticker in the driver's door jam or on the side wall of the tire. While tire and car manufacturers recommend a prescribed tire pressure, it has been shown that slightly more tire pressure is optimal for achieving higher fuel economy by reducing rolling resistance. Some hybrid cars are manufactured with tires that can hold up to 55 P.S.I. as compared with the usual 32 P.S.I. For safety and better gas mileage always keep your tires properly inflated. Next, analyze your driving habits. Do you take off quickly from a stop? Try easing into the throttle and allow the vehicle to accelerate slowly. Observe the traffic and signals in front of you. If a stop is imminent release the gas peddle and allow the car to coast the remainder of the distance before braking. Finally, proper maintenance of your car's engine is essential for optimum performance. If your engine is misfiring it will decease mileage. If engine oil and filter changes have been neglected it will cause additional friction inside the engine and hinder performance and gas mileage
A word about STI prices. The �07 STI�sedan only�went to its rest with a $34,120 base price that included the soaring wing and gold-painted 17-inch BBS wheels. Alas, a dollar buys less of everything these days. The �08 STI, a wagon only and equipped with 12 more horsepower, no additional torque, and way more buttons, asks for $35,640. Another $2000 is demanded for the look-at-me 18-inch BBS wheels and accompanying fog lights. Navigation runs $1800, but you have to cop the wheels first to get it.
