With the addition of Coach Rodriguez, Kevin Grady's recent drunk driving arrest lead to the further demise of the Blue Dynasty?
With less of a family style as former coaches have had does this lead to the addition of poor choices as the Coach depends too much on Assistants to keep players in line. I believe this will lead to fewer good choices in their private lives leading to the demise of the once Powerhouse Blue Dynasty that as of late most teams no longer fear on the schedule unless they are Division II teams.
Teams like UCLA, Notre Dame and the like that used to worry when Michigan was on the schedule worried but, I believe that those days may very well be gone forever. I am not all that impressed by choices that start at the top.
The reserve fund of the Athletic Dept. now has to lay out 2.5 million dollars thanks to the hiring this Coach with a signed contract to coach another institution. What a perfect waste of both money and energy to resolve an issue that didn't need to be one in the first place.
Why not hire an unproven coach with a possible Michigan background who truly understands the commitment and loyalty that it takes to lead the Blue back to the top of the National Championship hill?
