On the third day in Tenefife we were fetched by a bus at a nearby hotel and we went to a boat harbor elsewhere on the island. There we boarded a yellow submarine. It went with us into the bay and we went to 28th meters depth. The submarine can go 60 meters down with passengers and 100 meters down with out them.
There was a devise by each window that showed how deep down we were and it showed the how the sea was going over the submarine when we went down.

Before we went on board the staff took our pictures and sold them to us afterwards. We were also asked to write our names when we boarded the bus and I was wondering why. They gave us a certificate when we came back. Þór's was written Pör so I asked them to write Thor instead. It is the same name and they don't have the letter Þ. I only noticed now that mine was not written correctly either but I don't mind.

There was also a big skate there and the diver gave it fish.

Lovely pics again Skald.  What excitement to go down in a submarine!

What a cool thing to do Skald!  How long was the ride?  Did it scare you a little bit being in such a confined area and under water?  I think it may have made me a little nervous at first.

Once again your pictures have made the story.  I have never done such a thing and have often wondered whether or not I would enjoy it.   I have ridden in a glass bottomed boat, sort of the same effect only in shallow waters in florida.

That looked like so much fun! I'm really envious of all the exciting things you and your family always do. It doesn't seem like it's ever boring with you guys. This submarine ride reminded me of the ride at Disneyland, only much better! I'm claustrophobic, so it might be hard for me to get over that fear and go down into the water in that thing. But it looks like fun! Was it air conditioned in there or warm and stuffy?

Wow, Sklad - this looks like so much fun!  Thank you for sharing your wonderful pics with us.

E_T - I actually had to be let off that ride!  I felt like such an *ss - little kids everywhere, and this big dodo crying for them to stop the "submarine" that was in less than 5 ft of water!

Botoni. I never thought that I would go down in a submarine. Not that I was anxious, I just did never think of it.
Fearing.  No it did not scare me. I think we were there for an hour It was so much fun that it seemed like no time at all.
Soaring.  Oh you are back. I am so glad to see you. I hope you feel much better. I did go in a glass bottomed boat in Spain but I did not see much then. This was so much fun.
Kyle. It was sure air conditioned there. I am sorry you are claustrophobic. My granny was and she did not like going into lifts.
