Welcome to my blog. I started this blog for a couple of reasons. The first being to document my adventures in my new job as a Principal at an inner-city high school. You see, for the past 19 years, I have been a teacher, then an academic dean, and most recently, an assistant principal at a top performing suburban high school. I gave it all up so I can make more of a difference in the lives of inner city high school students. I would like all of the internet world to follow me on this adventure. Welcome aboard!  
    The second reason, and not to toot my own horn too much, is that I was an award winning teacher, a highly praised academic dean, and an assistant principal on a fast-track to becoming principal of the very same high school. I have skills, expertise, and wisdom that I would like to give out to as many educators that I hope read this blog on a regular basis.
   I hope you all will find my blog to be almost like a school day. Never typical, always informative, sometimes serious, and other times funny. That's who I am. I hope that is who all you readers find me to be also. Enjoy! Hope to see you tomorrow!
