Every summer my church does a youth camp for of course the youth in the area. It's designed to be for children who are unable to pay for normal summer camps. The cost is only 50 dollars compared to the higher prices of the other camps.
But YES stands for Youth Experiencing Salvation. The camp is broken into two different camps: senior camp 11-18 and junior camp 6-10. I decided to be a part of junior camp. I'm going to be a cabin director which sounds like it would be a lot of fun. Some of my friends were upset that I'm not going to be staff at the senior camp, but I don't want to be among the high school drama.
But anyway I will still be stepping out of my comfort zone because I will be giving cabin devotionals and leading an RWG which means Rapping With God. I'm still trying to figure out what to do for it. While I am scared and nervous I am so excited. I figured this would be one good step for breaking from the comfort zone and taking control of these panic attacks which have been getting better.
I cannot wait to come back next week and tell you all how it went. The only hard thing would be not seeing or getting to talk to Todd all week. No reception in the campsite...oy!
