i woke up early this morning to accomplish more before going to work..but i ended up wasting my time on some nonsense that could have been avoided.  my neighbor, La-on (means spinster in English) for almost two years complained about my sister's dog.  I wasn't really keen on having the dog around with our busy schedules and all but i'm the younger sister.  the last time she complained about the dog, the dog ended up half dead.  2 weeks and thousands of pesos later, our dog Bantay (not his real name) survived.  He was poisoned with a rat killer.  The neighbors became kinder to Bantay after that incident.  But now La-on seemed to have forgotten the incident and the fact theat she's our prime suspect for poisoning Bantay.  She told me .."Your dog is so noisy...We're sleeping here.."  I murmured an apology to her and ushered Bantay inside our house.  I thought that was the end of it but I heard La-on banging her screen door, the metal gate and pounding her foot on the concrete walk.  It was so annoying.  I knew she was acting like that because of Bantay.  I banged our doors as well, threw wash basins, shoes, slippers keys and etc.  It felt good.  I was noisier than her. 

       Late this afternoon I received a text from my sister.  La-on complained to the owner of the apartment and the caretaker gave as an ultimatum.  GET RID OF THE DOG NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE A PROBLEM BETWEEN US.  In Tagalog it sounded more like a threat than a request.  I don't know what happened to Bantay.  I will find out when I get home later.

   Whew...What could have La-on done this time?
