Do you like who you see in the mirror? Do you think you are a kind and caring person? If you like yourself, who cares what others think?

Most of the time, I like the person I see in the mirror. She's okay, and makes mistakes sometimes, but I feel pretty good about myself most of the time.
no one wants to get taken advantage of, or their feelings hurt. I for one, choose to respect and be courteous to all those I pass, but if I get dissed, its over.
I have learned to live by this: People can bring you down if you let them, and if you are good inside, and pleased with yourself that is all that matters. not things said against you.
Yes I do
anon----I agree no one wants to be taken advantage of. thanks.
papa-----yes, i thought you would say that.
queen- Yeah! Good to know that you have a healthy self-esteem.
anon----there have been times when I have looked in the mirror and didn't like what I saw. it took a while to gain that self-confidence to where I liked who I was. the problem is how one measures oneself.
if you are measuring yourself by other's standards,I don't think it is possible to like what one sees, but if you are measuring yourself by your own standards, and know that you are a kind, loving, caring person, then it doesn't matter what you have done that you think are mistakes, because those mistakes become milestones in a the much broader spectrom of life.
I think in order to really like who i am, i have had to learn to forgive me, and others for past mistakes and commit to trying to become that better self that all strive for.
