Dan took Olia and Dasha camping for two nights. The house is so quiet! They called today and said that they are all having a great time. The camp ground has a huge outdoor pool and it was a hot day. They spent most of the day in the pool. Dan said he was really glad that both girls have bright lime green goggles because he can easily spot them in the pool. Dasha is still complaining that her tooth hurts. She was at the dentist on Mon. and he said it had been a deep cavity so she may be uncomfortable for awhile. On Sat. I received a phone call asking me if I was Mrs. G............., and I said no, you have a wrong number. As I was hanging up, I yelled, wait, wait, that is the last name of my host child! They were just calling to remind us of the Mon. dentist appointment and they had asked for Mrs. G......... I'm glad that I remembered that before I hung up!
Yesterday I went to the Y camp to sign up Dasha for the week Olia is enrolled in gymnastics camp. The camp was full! I asked if the director would make an exception for Dasha so that she could be with Olia. Today they called and said Dasha could be enrolled in the class.
Olia's birthday party is this month. She is excited because it is her first birthday party. I mailed the invitations that she made herself on her computer. I made some star figures out of plaster of paris that the girls can paint at the party. I poured the mix into small, foil, star-shape cake pans. We are also going to play Bingo. Olia loves playing Bingo. The girls are also going to dance under the limbo stick! Olia bought some plain white posters and she is going to draw decorations and hang them in the basement. After the games, the girls can swim.
Right now, the HOUSE IS SO QUIET!!!! "Quiet" can be such a wonderful word! (But after two days I will really miss Olia).
