wombat's tags:
I like going back and looking at my posts to see if someone new has commented, but let's face it, there is a limit, right?  I have been on here all afternoon, and it is almost time for me to turn in, but I have not even gotten to the point of going back to my older posts yet.

By "older posts" I don't even mean last month or so..... I mean last Friday, last Wednesday...

I just can't keep up, when there are all those posts I want to comment on by others, my conversations, new posts popping up....

I try, just can't do it all the time.

So sorry if I missed you.

Take a page from your old friend here Wombie.  Relax and enjoy.  Go where you feel like going, comment when you feel like it, respond when it feels good.  We're all in the same canoe.

Botoni's got the right idea! thats what I do, you know what wombat, I'm guilty of delting (drafting my posts) that way I only need go back so far.. it helps my small brain cope in a way...

botoni:  Thanks...I will do that.   Sometimes I think I have missed something, or ticked someone off because I never looked.  I have a guilty concious!

Lucy:  That's a good idea!   Now I know why people do that!  Ha....

I like Botoni's advice - go where the flow takes you!

Wombat: you might find the "my conversations" tab helpful.  If anyone comments on any of your posts or posts you've commented on, it will show up there.  So rather than having to check each of your individual posts for new comments you can just scan the "my conversations" page for posts that have recent activity.  It says at the bottom of each post on that page when the last activity was (23 minutes ago, 1 week ago, May 30 2007, etc.).  So all you have to do is keep going back on the "my conversations" tab (page 1, page 2) until you hit posts that haven't been commented on for days or weeks or whatever time limit you want to use, and you'll know you've seen every new comment anyone has made on any post you wrote or commented on yourself. :)

did you manage to go back to the "petrified rock" post????

I wonder when I commented first on your post and when did you comment first on mine. Seems so long ago.

i hear you!  i get so little time here that i'd much rather read some than worry about old posts!!!!  hey, some day we'll get the time!
  • wombat said on Jul 01, 2008....
wishyouwerehere:  That's all I can do....go with the flow....but I know I probably have back posts with comments I never read.

nytquill17:  I do use "My Conversations" tab, which is why it is so frustrating to realize I still only went back so far...  I amazed sometimes when I go look at old posts and see how many people have clicked on long after I forgot I even wrote them.  Thanks for the suggestion anyway..It's just hard to keep up when you are a hardcore Soulcaster!

quietone:  No, I haven't done that lately...if it is still there...?  I wish now I had not deleted all my posts at one time about a year ago.  I had a couple I would like to see again myself...like the time I posted a recipe from "wombat."  That was funny, even to me....and the one about my dog, Zeus.  I remember you saying that you first noticed me on my petrified rock post, but I somehow thought you had been here longer than that......I get things screwed up in my mind though, as you know!

skald:  I don't remember either, but I know I have always enjoyed your posts.  Partly because of your lovely photos and writing, and partly just because you are from all the way in Iceland!

secretlife:  I know....I just feel bad about missing things.  Or being rude. I keep saying I will spend time to go back and look at old posts, but it's like when I decide to delete old messages.....a good idea at the time, but then I feel like I am missing the current things going on!
