I've been waiting all summer for this movie to come out.  I am a huge Mike Meyers fan.  I have never been disappointed in one of his movies yet.  I guess his sense of humor blends well with mine.  :-)

I saw The Love Guru on Saturday afternoon.  I'm still smiling when I think about it. If you love silly humor like I do, I think you'll like it too.  I know it's one I will see again and again.  I can't wait to buy my own copy when it comes out on DVD.

Here's the movie trailer for The Love Guru, courtesy of You Tube.

I'm glad you enjoyed it CW but it's getting horrendous reviews here. I chose to see Get Smart their opening weekend instead, and liked that.

I've never liked Meyers myself and have avoided seeing anything with which he has been involved.   I think I may be in a minority among my imediate family and friends however, as almost all of them are quite crazy over anything he has ever done.

My grandsons are pestering me to take them to see the movie though and I may have to break down and go.   My sons both will wait for it to arrive in the video stores, as they refuse to pay theater prices.  Not that they cannot afford it.  My daughters have both seen the movie with their husbands and enjoyed it.

    queen,
I thought it was funny.  I like that kind of silliness.

    sweetsoul,
Well, it's not going to win any academy awards, but it is fun if you like the kind of humor Mike Meyers does.  I wondered if Get Smart would be good.  Thanks for telling me you liked it.

    soaring,
I'm sure not everyone will like it.  Some of the humor is a little juvenile at times, but I really don't mind.  I like that little escape into the theater, laughing, and coming out feeling lighter.

Humor is relative.  Who do you find funny?

I can't wait to see this, CW.  There is a related book that just came out - the foewrod is written by Mike Myers.  The book is called, "Why is God Laughing?" by Deepak Chopra - highly recommend, I loved it.

Believe it or not I like that kind of humor, I just don't like Meyers attempts at it.   I can't explain it so won't try.  I love Monty Python and that sort of thing but simply can't stand Mike Meyers or most of the Saturday Night Live crew.  I know, it just doesn't make sense.  How could I like Python and not SNL?

    wish,
Deepak Chopra makes a cameo in the movie.  I will have to look for that book next time I am at the bookstore.

    soaring,
That does make sense to me.  There are certain actors that I don't like and some of them for no good reason.  lol  I do love Monty Python.  They've been showing it again on BBC America.  That show seems to be timeless.  I don't love all the SNL alumni, but there are a few that tickle my funny bone.
