Pálmi and I started by going to the shop and getting our groceries. I decided what I wanted for dinner. Bought it and also bread, milk and other necessities, like tomatoes. We just left the things in the rear of the car and went to get the girls, Polar and Quiet. It was already 1'oclock when we came there. We decided to go on a small tour and we started there.
We drove an off way road 7 kilometers to the see. We wanted to see puffins but we did not. We went up a hill and everyone had a laugh when we came up. I asked Pálmi not to drive on. I sounded hysterical I am sure. I did not see the road only the cliffs beneath us and I got a big vertigo. I thought he could get off the cliffs. Of course there was a road to the side and there we went and then back. We did not find puffins but the view was wonderful. We were singing in the car and really having fun.
What a good thing that I had my groceries with us. Pálmi buttered our bread, also Polar. We put cheese on it and we had tomatoes. Icelandic ones. We cut some bottles we had with us and we drank milk. Except Quiet. she had some soda water with her. Some one is feeling comfortable there.
Picknicking in the lava.
We build this to memorize our pick nick place. In case we come back.
Waiting at the Blue Lagoon. She certainly is a good photographer. After the Blue Lagoon we went home and I put the chicken in the oven. We had dinner. Gummi, was here with the kids. Quiet tried to get Freyja to teach her to count in Icelandic. Freyja is so shy that she did not dare but I could see that she liked Quiet and Polar. I also could see that Quiet really likes kids and is good with them. The ladies did short blogs here and we also had talks, sang, joked and had many laughes. what a good day.
At the end of the day I drove the girls home but first we went up on the hill near my home and we looked at the midnight sun. Quiet told me that when she lived in the state of Washington she saw similar sunsets at 11 'o'clock and that the city where she was had a bay and islands. That it looked much alike. She did much better pictures than I but I can't resist putting this in at the end. she will certainly post one of or two of hers, I hope. Up there on the hill was such peace and quiet. Quiet was there too of course haha.
