went to Giant's Stadium last night to see the FC Barcelona match against the Red Bulls and it was SUCH A FUN TIME!!! the fans were out of control and the atmosphere was extremely exciting. i couldn't believe how many people were there! it was a sold out show with 79,000 people! i guess this is as close to the world cup as it gets and it was great to see some ol' faces again.
rhonaldino played a great game (although not straight through, he left about 80 minutes in). bruce arena is the coach now for the red bulls and he sucks as much now as he did when he was the coach for the US ;) but it's a hard team to play against and in all fairness, the red bulls did manage to score a goal.

i know someone who was at that match too. the red bulls coach may suck but as far as i can remember the red bulls, when they were the metrostars have just seemed to suck big time. fc barcelona is a big name squad and it's not like they'd be coming to the states too often, so i can see why so many people came out. -

yes, i'm enjoying my time off :) gotta pack it all in before i start working for the man again! FC Barcelona is definitely a great team, i'm sure they could have scored an additional 4 goals if they really wanted to. i have my interview tomorrow afternoon, it's the first time in my life i'm not stressed about it. i'll let you know how it goes :) and thanks for asking! -
