I want to know if Google pays you just for page impressions?

If you nobody clicks on your adds but you get, let's say, 200 page impressions that day, will you get any money?

Hope somebody knows...

If I understood it correctly, yes, we may be paid by page impressions. That depends on the ads though. Not all ads would pay by page impressions. I hope somebody who's more certain could enlighten both of us. ;)

Google will pay you on every 1000 impressions...but the amount is too small. go to my SC page and downloadthe adsense calculator...then you will get a better picture.

You'd need a hell of a lot of page impressions in order to earn off that alone. The idea is people clicking your ads makes you money. Hope this helps! PinkJellyBeans

I get lots of page impressions ... nothing. A few clicks and over a dollar. Is a page impression just someone viewing a page of your blog, anyone?

Google's description on page impresion. "A page impression is generated every time a user views a page displaying Google ads. We will count one page impression regardless of the number of ads displayed on that page. For example, if you have a page displaying three ad units and it is viewed twice, you will generate two page impressions and six ad unit impressions."

I don't think its on page impressions. I think its clicks only. But I'm sure there's a difinitive answer on the google site somewhere...

I've had an adsense report for two days now... I have a few clicks registered on my report but no money coming in...can anybody tell me why?
  • Fire_Star_88 said on Aug 14, 2006....
I think you didn't get any money for the clicks becouse Google didn't consider them to be vaild. Did you click on your own adds? :)

Well...I clicked on my own ads once or twice to see if they were working, but apart from that nothing. But i'm quite sure all of the clicks registered were me (there are about 8). Also can anybody tell me how long before people start earning from adsense (i.e 1 week or 1 month). Bearing in mind i'm writing two blogs a day and i've been blogging for a few days now...

friends, Google has both text ads n image ads!! Image ads are paid on the basis of impressions + click throughs while text ads are paid only one the basis of click throughs!! That's all about it!!
