So today, I was talking to my fiancee over the phone. And she tells me that there is this thing online where you can sign up for that will pay you for posting / advertising for various products via your blogs. I went to check out the site and it was pretty tempting; I mean, who doesn't want free money for their opinion?

As I was making an account and reading all the details, it became more and more apparent that making money from blogging is not go to be as easy as I had thought. It turns out that, to even be qualified to have your blog registered with the pay site, you need you get their approval. Then on top of that, you have to request to be qualified to blog about the advertised product. Advertisers put up various ads that they want, and your job is to blog about that product in your blog.

The catch is, you have to meet certain requirements in order to receive money. Your blog post has to be the best! You have to have the most views, the top link clicked, or be the most visited site... basically, hard as hell to get. And after jumping through all those fire infested rings, you receive a gratifying $5.50 for your time and efforts.

What a bust...
