Last week several stores asked us to send them things to help their customers. My dear coworker, I must admit, I did not check to see if any had done so with whom I might not have spoken. And whenI took my two days off as scheduled, I admit to staying far far away from our store and not making sure it was done even at the expense of my only off time.
So I do completely understand why I was written a disciplinary action for those stores not getting what they wanted. Yes, I do also understand that NO ONE ELSE in our store who was actully working and could have done it got written up. I get that the items the other stores said they would send and didn't, thus having multiple upset customers, did not get THEM written up. No I took that write up too.
I get all of that.
What I don't get is this. When I spend eight hours fighting to get the things required rounded up and put where they need to be to go out in the morning, WHY would it be okay for you to carry EVERY SINGLE item I got and PUT IT BACK IN STOCK?
OH.
Hell.
No.
I don't care if you ARE six foot six, three hundred pounds of department head. You will put my mother fracking tile right the frack back where I had it. Now.
Yes, I do see your subordinates watching us go toe to toe. I don't care that you feel you have to maintain the "upper hand". I will go scare the piss out of those little boys. Just so they get why YOU WILL DO WHAT I SAY.
Thank you, and have a nice evening.
