Mother Nature always has a way of putting just the right colors together doesn't she?  In every season there is always something that just catches my eye and says... awe, mother nature what a fine job you have done!

    I love Irises!
  • quietone said on Jun 20, 2008....
These are those small little ones.  I like these too... the only ones I don't like are those big straggly orange tiger lillies.. yuck.. I dug them up and gave them away.
  • pickersplock said on Jun 20, 2008....
I usually plant those in boring places where nothing else grows!

I have a lot of Bee Balm, it's really pretty when it blooms in August!
  • quietone said on Jun 20, 2008....
I like bee balm, but it spreads way too fast.  I only have a few flowers  that came with the house when I bought it.  I've only added my lilly of the valley and those irises. I am too lazy to go out and take care of any gardens anymore.

Thanks uniquely.. hope you are feeling better!

nah, still grouchy, but I'm dealing with it.

The flowers are nice on the eyeballs though.
  • quietone said on Jun 20, 2008....
yes they are, and some how manage to soothe the soul most of the time, I think.

I have just now had the chance to go looking at other posts, and I have been here for an hour and a half......so sorry I have missed this one and the other I saw, while we were on messages and such...

Anyway----yes, I love the colors of nature.  For some reason, I love cloudy days, fog, trees in the mist---those muted colors and the feeling that comes with it.  But of course, I love the mixture of bright colors, too.  Nice photo!  In your yard?

Those are beautiful irises and the colors in the pic are wonderful!  You ve got a good eye.
  • quietone said on Jun 20, 2008....
wombie ~ yes by my steps in my back yard.  The first time they have blossomed since I planted them 2 years ago..
  • quietone said on Jun 20, 2008....
botoni ~ hi, and thanks, and the colors are compliments of mother nature!  I love taking pics.. macro pics of flowers and such.
  • wombat said on Jun 20, 2008....
Cool!  Good things come to those who wait.....

I am having to be told to water my plants.  And to transplant one that is outgowing it's pot.

I bought them wanting something I could just watch look pretty.  But I guess you have to tend to the "garden."

Ooooh, my favorite (I like the big irises best, but the small ones are pretty too)! :)

wombie ~ this is what I like about these - they take care of themselves!  The only kind I plant.

Infernal ~ I like the big irises too.. all colors.  My big ones went down with the rain and wind...that is the only drawback to the big ones.. like glads, they just don't hold up against the wind.

  • queenparanoia said on Jun 20, 2008....
    yeah it's pretty... =)

I agree. Mother natures knows what she is doing. I have always wondered what it would be like if humans came in such amazing colours.
