Delhi Extension NCR Baghpat has grown from a small town trading in the making and selling of jaggery to a major industrial centre. To meet the challenges of the 21st century and to realize the untapped potential of this industrial town, the state government is strengthening its infrastructure and preserving historical sites to promote heritage tourism. Impetus is being given to the development of infrastructure components like road and rail network, electric and water supply, sewer and drainage. For this reason, the Baghpat Development Authority has also been formed.
