Why isn't this getting more press? It obviously hasn't already been proven false as it's in National Geographic (which doesn't mean its real it just means it's not already provably false.) They built a plant to try to test this but there isn't so much as a peep on the national radar. 10 dollars for a barrel of oil is utterly rediculous in this day, not to mention the technology claims to be able to turn human waste (feces) into oil which goes A LOT farther than just reducing/eliminating dependence on foriegn oil. It could clean landfills. It could completely alter our current plumbing. The process creates steam which is water. Being able to convert sewage into oil and drinking water sounds pretty fucking amazing to me. So I don't understand why this hasn't either been proven as bullshit or get more coverage?
On a side note if this turns out to be true is it ethical for the US to stick to the standard captialism approach and save it for ourselves or are we obligated to give it away?
