Looks like SC is going to be slow this summer, if now is any indication.  People got other things to do than to sit in front to their pcs, it looks like, so I went out into the yard today (the backyard) , and started pruning trees, shrubbery, and weeding the garden, and sat out there a little while reading.  Enjoyed it tremendously!

Yesssss.... lov digging in the dirt, the rich smell of good dark soil just having been turned....mmmmmmm  : )

It is relaxing to plant  ( weeding I do with no joy, except in that you can rip um and toss um around like ya might some people...hehe, but the weeds don't mind.

Really, weeds are there as stress relievers !  Thats why they keep coming back, weeds know humans need an outlet : )

pruning is best done in fall to winter when the tree or bush is pushing all its energy downward away from the wounds of pruning or ole man winter.

Triming is another thing all together and that sounds like a summers haircut for a plant.  Watering next to dawn or after sunset allows the plant to gain strength and the water to stay near the root system longer without the sun competing for life saving water, ya know ?

Tired of reading...seems so much like its already been said, but with a change of duds, or a new name tossed out there.  Deep winter is reading time and, then too, so isn't SC...hehe

Fishing is my outlet to relax, sounds strange, but there is a lot of peace and mind healing, problem figuring going on.. hehe

Ever build a small pond for for fish in the yard ?  with a couple small pumps, an insert or lining w/ gravel and perimeter stone hedging...toss in some colorful lighting and man...its pretty nice to just sit next to day or night.  Winter bring the fish in, late spring...toss their asses back into your pond ! = )

Outdoors, fresh air....and then SC with a cooler or coffee....ahhh thats therapy for a troubled or busy mind like mine...its always thinking of something for me to or...not to do...hehe

Jess---I've been reading your blog, and learning a few tips to use in my own yard.  I sure can relate to digging around in the dirt, maybe I'm reliving my childhood, ha! Mom always knew where to find me, because I would be somewhere in the yard, digging in the dirt.  Thanks for reading and commenting.

My pleasure Dee and appreciate the good words to those of us that enjoy digging in the dirt for fun, because thats exactly how I see it, not to mention the pleasure of grooming the home site grounds to ones own personality, few things allow for that, but planting and design, well...its a very personal thing independent of all others and as usual or as unusual as we each are in taste and colors.

It natural, and I like it that way...hehe ; )
