  Hey, I think you've got it all going on with what you've said here.   It's like people don't really care anymore until it's them on the block.  Then it's too freakin' late cause no one's hearing their screams for help.

  This country grew up on self reliance and independence of thought.  Now we just want it all done for us and can't think unless someone else plants the thought for us and feeds it.

  Natural ~ Thanks *smile* me too, i think this is an answer. It feels right and it doesn't take much to do....but to do without all the glitter and comfort of convenience. I just feel i need to condition myself now for the future. Like Noah, waiting on the big flood. I want to be prepared. Anyway, change takes time, i just don't want to wait till the last moment. Like you said, i don't want it to be too late.

  If more people had to take care of themselves there'd be a whole lot less bitching going on.  They'd be to busy with their own problems to have time to mess with others, and I'm sure they'd respect another mans right to their earned rewards.

  CayenneMan ~ I'm even looking into a scooter for my further away cleaning jobs.
  I've surfed the web for sites on survival. Solar energy and recyling any and all things. Living off the land, and how to do this and that. There is much to know. I am in a good area to do these things, cool, thank my Lord and Lady for that. Learn to eat to survive not survive to eat thingy also. *smile* Just a total about-face. I want to enjoy my remaining days here on Earth instead of just getting by.  ....everything we need to live is here on Mother Earth so, i'll be studying the old ways more deeply now. Thanks.   Uniquely ~ If we all had to care for ourselves instead depending on others or already made stuff, we would bitch less too. but i don't understand what you meant by respecting others earned rewards?

  Pickersplock ~ i spend 2.50 a week on eggs, 5-6 dollars a week on chicken. if i had a chicken coop, that's a 30 dollar savings a month. it would be worth building a coop and buying chicks. *smile* at lest to me. Like my potatoes, 2.50 a week for 5 pds.....4 rows of planted seed potatoes will get me thru the winter. my gardens save me so much, money left in my pocket by just working a couple hours a day caring for it. yup, you tell Mr.P to get you some laying hens and one cocky rooster. *smile* Thanks, take care ~see ya

  I mean that when a man or woman works hard to buy a home, start a business, or such and they succeed, that another person who did not go through the pain or risk to earn those things would not whine about how unfair it is that they did not have the same things.

  Uniquely ~ oh! ok.... heaven forbid if anyone's envy would cause unjust thoughts on anyone who has worked hard in life to get where they are today. I watched my father's success, he worked 12-14 hrs. a day for years to get his where he did.

  did i sound jealous of others who have more? hope not. i don't begrude no one. i am relating to folks like me, who is trying, working very hard to make ends meet. trying to figure out what i can do to be comfortable or at lest survive.
