The General Motors Corporation is set to close an Ontario pickup factory in 2009. The General Motors plant will be laying off 2,600 hourly workers and 300 salaried workers.

This shut down is in violation of contract agreements between General Motors CEO Rick Wagner and Union workers. In a May 15 agreement the automaker stated that they were committed too keeping the plant open. However less then a month latter GM is having a change of heart.
